Right on the money with this Riesling! Straw in color and star bright. Nose was filled with lemon-lime, honeydew, Granny Smith apples, wild honey, citrus blossom, ginger, and new plastic pool toy aromas. The palate was extremely well balanced and the acidity was high and puckering. The tart lemon and lime flavors held through the finish. The finish was surprisingly long, and it was a nice medium-minus body. This Riesling provides a solid compliment to spicy sushi and spicy foods. It holds up strong and has a lot of backbone. All in all, this is your Riesling if you are looking for a refreshing, acidic, dry breath of fresh air. Instant favorite of mine! Washington dry Rieslings are spectacular. Cheers! — 10 years ago
Really nice and a great price. — 5 years ago
Easy drinking, pretty sweet though the finish lives up to semi-dry. Pear, peach, apple. — 6 years ago

Rad Spätburgunder from the Pfalz; Koehler-Ruprecht never steers me wrong. Bracing and a bit rustic yet still elegant. Pours a medium (-) ruby garnet hue. Benefits from a tiny bit of air before serving but not like, necessary to decant it either. Wild raspberries and strawberries, blood orange peel, fennel seed, woodsy spice and birch bark, mushroomy, forest floor earthiness, and some floral rosehip character on the nose. The palate has more bracing, alpine red berry fruit, woodsy spice, rose floral character, and forest floor, supported by lively, medium (+) to high acid, and medium (-) tannin. Light to medium (-) body. Solid stuff. In a nice place right now, maybe would peak in a couple years but no compelling reason to hold on to it much either. — 9 years ago

A little sweet as the acid has faded with age. — 10 years ago
Unbelievable, absolutely fabulous! I must have had it with the right food (including cauliflower with dill cheese as well as some cheese and crackers, all dill centered). Excellent! Could not stop drinking it, as it was so good! — 5 years ago
Black cherry, raspberry, currant, cranberry, loamy earth and oak. Good structure and soft tannins. — 7 years ago
Surprisingly medium lemon yellow color where a pale greenish lemon would be the norm. Rich and intense nose of white flowers, Apple, lime and a bit of honeyed peach and petrol in the background. More off-dry than medium sweet in perception thanks to the vibrant acidity. This is a lovely example of maturing Mosel riesling — 8 years ago
Light and super flavorful. — 9 years ago
