Just a little nuttiness with nice weight and stunning acidity, it is aging brilliantly and has years of time left. — 7 years ago

Have had many of these older Dr. Barolet's. Always fun.

La Toppe au Vert Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2015

Strong licorice nose. Cherry quite fruity for Burgundy. Hint of chalk. Cardamom. Mild and ‘smooth’ drink now. Very good. Too nice and not enough edges for me. — 5 years ago

Les Valozières Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2015

Plenty of cherries 🍒 notes so fresh and bright. Still very good the next day chalky. Beautiful Burgundy but at 100$? And in October 25% tariffs on top. I think for us mortals it will be soon game over for wines from this region. Even Bourgogne’s go now for 30-40$. In the future I will focus on wines which emulate Burgs but are still affordable. — 5 years ago

Le Rognet Corton Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2010

Tiny hint of mildew or barn on the nose. Very mild tannins, and smoky. Almost reminiscent of a light Syrah. But kind of unobtrusive overall, at least for a Grand Cru. Still prettty good in the big picture. — 7 years ago

This is an awesome white burgundy. Jason Berry amiete wines imports this one. I think he sells it to Michelin Star restaurants in SF and online.

Cellar Reserve Old Stock Ale

With a head somewhere between cappuccino and fine rosé champagne both in color and bubble. And a dark Amber body bordering on red, this powerful Sphinx tempts you near its maw. A mallard appears in my glass in the foam voids. There is a sweet cinnamon and cherry candy present, but also a marinated mushroom quality to the nose. You sense the granite jaw, and await the iron fist. But the gloves come off, and this model is lithe after a spin around the sun, exhibiting honey and tea, leather touches, finesse and power seamlessly mesh with a vanilla bean and sweet tobacco, cinnamon and toast component. Your tongue has a new friend! #northcoastbrewing #oldstock #agedbeer — 8 years ago
