Scarlet color, almost opaque. Fruity, stemmy nose. Notes of dark fruit, bing cherries, moist soil, herbs and spice. Vibrant in the mouth. Silky sweet fruit but not over the top. Nice balance and structure. Really good. If i was tasting this blind I could see someone steering me towards a young Dujac guess. — a year ago
Tawny color. Not giving much in the nose, even with several hours of air. Notes of rhubarb, dried red fruit, some wood and a little spice. Pleasant mouth feel. Not as opulent as other 01 Dujac wines. This was more tame and not giving what I was hoping for. Still has the fruit and bones to get better (I hope). — 4 years ago

Dark ruby violet. Blackberry, graphite, and a slight herbal note on the nose. Dense and concentrated red and black fruits on the palate with prominent, chunky tannins and long, gravelly finish. Blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot fermented with native yeasts then aged 19 months in 50% new French oak. Made by Diana Snowden wife of Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac in Burgundy. Would undoubtedly benefit from more time in the bottle. 14.5% ABV. $50. — 6 years ago
Reddish color with red bricking on the rims. Mostly opaque. A little redder and denser than the 90 Dujac CdlR by its side. Its nose was powerful. Notes of cherry cola, rhubarb, soil and spice. Very masculine in style when compared to the Dujac. Hearty, intense, and long finish. Grew and grew in complexity with air. Amazing wine. — 7 years ago

Really classy. Well made an very tasty classically styled white Burg. Nice balance between weight, texture and freshness. — 7 months ago
Bright scarlet tawny. Mostly opaque. Candied fruit nose. Notes of strawberry, cherry kirsch, sandalwood and some. A bit masculine in its impact, which is different than not so long ago. Still has a silky texture in the mouth and all the pleasure zones. Seems young but is rather luscious right now. — 4 years ago

IMO, MG makes one of the absolute best Clos Vougeot’s. This one drank very youthful and primary but all the material is there for this to be a fantastic bottle down the road. It showed much more producer and vineyard than it did the vintage. There was none of the overt greenness that you can often get with 2011’s. Along with Rousseau, Dujac and Tremblay, MG’s 2011’s are very impressive.
After an initial shyness it does reveal itself after a multi hour decant and begins to waft from the glass with aromas of dark fruit, florals and spices. On the palate it’s deep, elegant and pure with fine grained tannins, excellent focus and delineation. But you can tell it wishes to resume its slumber. It often went back and forth from showing great fruit expression to then aromas of woodsmoke and savory herbs. But the herbal qualities are not at all off putting and just add to complexity. I would love to check in on this again with more bottle age. It is clear that it will have a lot to offer those with more patience than me. — 3 years ago
Virtual tasting sponsored by Sage Society with Jeremy Seysses of Triennes and Dujac. My first virtual tasting. Really fun and interesting. Wine was well balanced with nice acidity, ginger, red fruit., light bodied. We also tried the Viognier, which was linear and precise, and the Saint August’s Cab-Syrah blend, which was a bit reduced but opened up in glass. — 4 years ago
2006 vintage. This showed fantastic. Better than some of the grand Cru at the table! — 5 years ago
Special bottling by Dujac. Pretty wine and still a good amount of oak. Will revisit in 5 years. — 6 years ago
