The 7th and final GC White Burgundy. A mineral slatey nose with lovely citric acid , white peach and some toast. Medium bodied - in its infancy with great potential and energy. An ongoing theme of power and tension with these Grand Cru white Burgundies. As a general summary of the 7 Grand Cru White Burgundies they were outstanding and probably the best expressions of Chardonnay on earth. Are they worth the ever increasing $$$$s? Probably not - all in the eye of the beholder but they are incredible. Once again the monks were right in selecting the plots they did over a 1000 years ago. — 4 years ago

this wine was spectacular. — 8 years ago
Very vegetal on the nose, cool nose. Color very pale in the glass. In time it opens up and some raspberries begin to show. Very similar in characteristic to the vougeraie clos du prieure 2013 drank a couple of days ago. Surprised to read that this producer destems all fruits. I would have called the reverse smelling the wine. — 4 years ago
Extraordinary Pinot with rich ripe red currant and nicely structured tannins. — 4 years ago
2015 lovely bouquet, a bit Smokey and Oaked.. crisp and a smooth acidity that is perfect with my asparagus crepe fraiche veloute with truffle oil! — 6 years ago
Definitely solidifying the quality of this producer, it's a little reductive upon opening, but after about an hour/half it starts to sing, just the right amount of oak spice, the balance is outstanding, purity of terroir/varietal is what you look for in the best burgundies. — 8 years ago
Outstanding old style burgundy. Perhaps not its finest year but at ten years old drinking beautifully. — 9 years ago
From a terrific vintage for Corton-Charlemagne, and evident here from Vougeraie. Rich, complex and luckily showing no premox. Popcorn, exotic citrus fruits, hazelnut and hints of flint and stony minerals. Finishes with very good length and intensity...From Blue Hill at Stone Barns Cellar. — 4 years ago

Gorgeous white, at its peak — 7 years ago
Damp. Probably a wetter vintage. A bit weighty and musty. The acidity is struggling to hold the balance of the wine. — 9 years ago

Very good pinot. Hard to tell it is from California...cool fruit and has that menthol taste i usually associate with the Vougeot wines from Vougeraie but also has that orange peel flavor giving it a very special character — 4 years ago
