2009 in June 2018. Wow, what a wine. Big earth and red fruit, very concentrated, let it breathe for an hour and it’s perfect. — 6 years ago
Deep violet, blueberry aroma. And oak. Juicy, balanced acidity, tanning and spiciness. Plum. First sip is quite nice, but off course, just 3 years, need to wait for minutes I can’t wait. But fat beef is too strong to match with this. Next day, much better, vanilla, smooth. 2019 @1980, domaine -, 220520-220705 — 2 years ago
Deep red. Deep aroma with herb. Concentration. Strawberry, plum and salt. Juicy. Not too much complicated, so okay for Japanese cuisine. 2018 @1080, domaine -, 220312 — 2 years ago
Anniversary wine with my love. The first of our case that we’ll drink every 5 years for the next 60. Happy 5th! — 4 years ago

Asian spices, sandalwood, dark cherries and raspberries. Hint of wild herbs. Becomes more floral and open with a few min, but still relatively restrained. Wine is balanced on the palate with smooth tannins and decent acidity for backbone. Lushly textured, rounder. Prefer the George Noellat over this one. — 6 years ago
My first CLF. Aromatically, this wine is ready for business which surprised me given the Cru and vintage. Red cherries, Vosne spices, and a bit of wildness, but a tamed wildness. Guessed this as Vosne Romanee. Would love to see how this develops further. — 6 years ago
A great burgundy. Rounder fruit (more than red?) and perhaps fuller-bodied than other pinot this age. I think this will age well — but I’m impatient and keep drinking it young! An hour or two of air in tue decanter really makes this come alive. — 2 years ago
I’ll be honest: I enjoyed this slightly less than the Domaine Coquard, above. But I don’t know if that’s a product of it being ‘18, or if it being Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet. It’s still a marvelously well-constructed wine, it’s just tart and tight. For better or worse, my favorite burgundy flavors are the secondary ones — the leather and game you get in older wines. — 3 years ago
Butter, heavy floral, eucalyptus, raspberry, wax lips. Medium plus body. Definitely fun, and solid value — 5 years ago
