Loads of petrol, liquid mineral, and apple skin fruit on the nose. Still quite fresh (fresher than a bottle I had several years ago, as I recall). Rich, with tons of dry extract, in the mouth. Deeply mineral, dense, slightly bitter-edged apple fruit. Almost overwhelming. But in a good way. Great wine. — 9 months ago

Beautiful color, fine bubbles, fine mousse, but there’s this kind of weird oaky or brioche toasty Aroma that I don’t really like so it’s either barrels that were too toasted or too much lees battonnage and distracts from the wine and makes you realize it’s not a champagne. other than that pretty tasty — 3 months ago

2nd day much nicer. I switched to a better “ real” glass as well. Most of the initial, fruit driven nose and palate has morphed into something darker, more graphite and pepper with that inimitable Viognier lift on the finish. The texture is very, very nice.
