As much as I think French wines are overrated, this is a very good Bordeaux for the price — 4 years ago

Good concentration. Jam mixed with black fruits and cherry. Sweet and spices. Good match with spicy Chinese food. Chateau Saint Jean Plan de Dieu @, , 241004 — 7 months ago
Traditional Bordeaux-Style blend. Very dark ruby color with slight hints of purple. Savory aromas of earth, baking spices, herbs and black cherries. Ripe plum and black cherry flavors with additional hints of baking spices, tobacco and dried herbs. Pleasant creamy vanilla oak note on the long finish. Dusty tannins and well balanced. Opulent, complex and still quite fresh for a ten year old wine. — 6 months ago
Serviceable. Heavier than my usual every day CDR. — 2 years ago
On the nose, violet petals, beets, and a little tobacco. On the palate, mint, liquorice, anise, plum, and gorgeous dark fruits. Finish is pleasingly herbaceous, with moderate tannins and a mild refreshing acidity. Very little barrel detectable but still so rich and satisfying. — 3 years ago

On the nose, this is subtle cranberry... On the palate, it's cranberry, cherry, red plum... Dense tannin here but no sharp edges... A tinge on graphite here too, but in the distance... The whole package seems soft... Not so complex overall. Medium-long length on the finish. Nice. — 2 months ago
