I was a little disappointed by the bottle, I think it was a little over the hill. The fruit and tannins were still pretty good but the acidity was waning so it didn’t have much structure/complexity. Could’ve just been the bottle. — 8 years ago

Fantastic. A southeast brunello. Immediately dark cherry, touches of plums, spice, and the acidity and tannins integrated well. As it decanted, the tannins soften drastically with the acidity slightly overpowering, but nevertheless, the fruit stayed and lingered til the end. — a month ago

100% Sangiovese. Soft and velvety but oh so expressive! Aromas and flavors of red and black fruits. Complex accents of forest floor, tobacco, dried herbs, black licorice and coffee. Needs time to open up and for the acidity to tone down. Dark and tight, laced with chocolate, wood, smoke. Fairly strong tannins pick up and carry through an acidic finish. — 3 months ago
