Flavors of cranberry, red cherries, red plums, tobacco, Earl Grey tea, dark chocolate, grilled herbs and baking spices. Long and lingering finish. Dusty tannins, firm structure and bright acidity. 100% Sangiovese. Soft and velvety but oh so expressive! Aromas and flavors of red and black fruits. Complex accents of forest floor, tobacco, dried herbs, black licorice and coffee. Clear, medium purple in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, black cherries, lavender, and charred wood; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, low tannins, high alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of tart cherries, dried herbs, and black pepper with a long finish. This wine is a little too bitter at first, but it mellows out after a bit. Overall, I rate this wine as good. Nellie says it's ok. — a month ago
