Not as deliberately oxidative, but still too oxidative to be Chablis. — a month ago
Not what I expected i assumed elegance and was surprised that it was so full of fruit at this age. Another 5 yrs would help but right now it so pleasurable. — a month ago

You want a wine you can quaff? You want a wine you can drink with food, then this is one! Go for it! — 8 days ago
Decanted for about 2-3 hours before serving. Incredible nose and flavor profile. Very gamey. Lots of stewed fruit. Little medicinal. But came through and paired exceedingly well with lamb kebabs.
Had a little funk as it aired out but really sang at hour 4-5. Good grip. Will be excited to open the next one — 18 days ago
2018 base. 4 grams dosage and disgorged 4/22. Nose is all wet earth and yeast. Lemon peel, toast, citrus (tangelo?) skin as well. Really nice, layered and complex aromas. Lonely, mineral and tree bark aromas as well. Palate is juicy and clean with explosive lemon and grapefruit citrus fruit and terrific purity and freshness. Good sap and very clean. Needs air as I reckon this has more to tell. Nose gets some saline as well with air and the palate becomes juicier. It’s very good but so far not special. Really has good palate presence. — a month ago

“Les Lys” is one of the eight climats within Vaillons but it’s peculiar in terms of its exposure and the soil contains a bit more clay. The wines are equally unique expressions and typically long lived. This bottle is no exception.
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a hour. The 2010 “Les Lys” pours a bright yellow color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with explosive notes of tart and ripe orchard and tropical fruits: green apple, starfruit, passion fruit; a mixed bag of citrus with lemon, lime and even some tangerine. There’s white flowers, a whiff of brioche and racy minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. It has been a few years since I last had the 2010 and it’s no less stunning. Drink now through 2035+ — 19 days ago
