Decroux

Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2015

[Tasted on December 23, 2022 at Home with Rachel]

Purchased during visit to TH Estate in Paso Robles in 2019. Wine was made by Jennifer Hoag. Red currant and wild strawberry fruit, with graphite, smoke, rose petal, iron and smoked meat, and hints of mint and eucalyptus. Big, rich and earthy.

La Encantada Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014

New from Jennifer Hoage. Santa Rita Hills. Medium body. Nose from floral to mushroom. Pure restrained fruit with perfectly balanced acidity and fine tannins going and slow earthy-mineral finish. Striking mouthwatering effect. — 8 years ago

Radian Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Phil the winemaker at Decroux and owner Jenn and Terry Hoage. My goodness, Jenn’s French history and story telling are quite the afternoon! Coupled with the finest offering of Pinot from the Radian Vineyard. (And I love Dragonette’s version) — 5 years ago

Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir Rose 2017

This 2017 vintage is a very nice Rose of Pinot. A bit more nuanced than other Rose. While I like it, the price point for this is an issue. — 6 years ago
