Tha fuckin god. The goat. Drank with my most beloved friends on our last weekend living in Brooklyn, after aging this bottle (from Joel) for four years. August 3, 2017. Goodbye 650 Franklin. — 7 years ago
This Collard-Picard has come a long way in a couple years. It arrived funky and unsettled. Today it has evolved into one of those rosé Champagnes that would stand up to a rich meal of duck or even our beloved "steak and claret night" meal. Dark, ripe blackberry fruit, a touch of spice, and a long finish make this rosé worth waiting on. — 8 years ago
Initial scent almost jammy but breathing deep I smelled tobacco drying like I was back in beloved Durham NC. Subtle cherry and dark fruit. — 8 years ago
I'm a softy for this winemaker. They are beloved by the cats who run Enotecca Piti Gola in Florence, where they sell old vintages of it by the glass. Every year they send some to me in the States. For me, when I drink it, I'm drinking good memories and it brings me back to a lost time. — 9 years ago
Ahhhh, a Provence Rose! It's a very warm night...82F and I'm sitting by my fire...so the perspiration is accumulating and I'm drinking a refreshing Rose that is perfect for a night like this! This Chateau La Moutete Grande Reserve is peach colored, with notes of very light florals, watermelon, and a Sauv Blanc-ness to it that reminds me of grapefruit on the nose. on the palate I get strawberry, black licorice, and a hint of basil. This wine is slightly acidic, especially on the finish (again, reminding me of a soft Sauv Blanc). No tannins, and a grape-fruity finish at the end. Even though my beloved Red Sox are losing to the Skankees tonight, I'm enjoying this fantastic wine! — 10 years ago
100% pure santorini! A gem of this beloved island — 7 years ago
Mildly heady aroma with deep black cherry and violets prominent. Exquisite balance and smooth texture allowing the excitement of the cherry notes to zing but in a deftly warmed manner.,straight through to a light harmonious finish. The maker is clearly aimed toward the beloved Bordeaux style and this affords us the local proximity. One of the best Virginia wines we’ve tried and very exciting to know about. — 7 years ago
Hard to pick a fave red from Grosjean but this is up there...pale red with thrilling high altitude aromatics and acidity, juicy ripe cherry, dried flowers and herbs, animal and spices. Not quite rustic but definitely alive and untamed. Makes me dearly want to visit this rugged part of Italy — 8 years ago
We mulled it for Halloween and it turned out really well — 9 years ago
This is not Chardonnay, it is our beloved mutant Pinot noir blanc, absolutely delicious with a fat smoked salmon. — 10 years ago
Beautiful cherry flavour and an excellent compliment to a spicy dinner. — 8 years ago
Disgorged 2016. According to a friend who worked at Veuve nearby, Arnaud's wines sell out quick at the winery each year. Can certainly see why - this cuvee drinks so well. Fruit driven, with a solid core of apple, pears, and lemon curd. Oh so floral, nutty, yeasty. Reminded me of walnut butter, and MO of gruyere. I also got this pleasant vanillin tones in the finish.
Notes from Skurknik:
I wish I were named “Cuvée le Brut instead of my actual name, Gibbery Wobblestein. “Terry Theise” is a pseudonym. To the matter at hand—this superb non-vintage is 55% 2013 and the balance is 25% ’12, 10% ’11 and 10% ’06; deg 1/2016, it’s an exceedingly refined, high-toned classic Margaine, White-flowers, with sushi-knife cut and chisel, and overtones of jasmine. This wine rides the thin line between Chardonnay and Riesling, and when it’s on form it’s a thorough original, and one of my most beloved Champagnes. 92-8 CH/PN. — 8 years ago
Can't believe I'm cheating on my beloved Nancy Irelan, but this is really good! — 9 years ago
I've missed you dearly. Go 'Sconie, Go! — 10 years ago
I dearly love this winery. This is their top cuvée. Just great. Rich tannins, earthy garrigue, dusty and lovely. — 10 years ago

What a pretty lovely medium-light bodied Pinot. Really in its drinking window. Perfect mid week sharing with my beloved wife. Especially as we bought it together at the winery around 7 years ago. — 6 years ago
