All Muller Auslese have botrytis. Beautifully poised wine. So delicate and light but so delicious. — 8 years ago
Some background: Muller-Thurgau is a crossing between Riesling and Madeline Royale. It was once Germany's second most planted variety (as of @ 11 years ago). The variety suffered in status as the grape is easy to grow, and was often used in making plonk... but the Muller-Thurgau from Rainer Sauer is as elegant and mineral-driven as it is approachable.
On the nose, you get lime, sea spray and some grapefruit....which reflects on the palate. The wine also has a fine-grained beeswax-y texture, a tad like Chenin Blanc. Dry, with good lift and minerality. All in all, a terrific food wine. I paired this (with some hesitation) with Chorizo tacos from 4th St Market in Santa Ana, but man, did it go! I was worried about this wine not being able to handle the spice, but... beautiful pairing. It also went with their ceviche. All in all, quite good. 12% abv. — 8 years ago
Skin contact Muller. Dope. — 8 years ago
Perhaps a year or two past peak but still drinking well. A lot of apricot and still some acid. — 9 years ago
My first intro into the varietal Muller Thurgau (Rivaner). Off-dry and fruity but it is a little more complex than that on the finish - I pick up floral notes. I really liked this one and for the value it can't be beat! — 10 years ago
Beautiful wine - highly recommended!! — 10 years ago

2015. Beautiful wine and easily the best Muller I've ever had! — 8 years ago
This was the last wine of the day it came after Burgundy, Bordeaux , Syrah, Cab franc , Eiswein, Auslese and somehow this erased them from my palate memory. In this case Muller was not a winemaker but a magician. He managed to make every attribute contained in this wine stand up and shout but never allowed a single component to hog the spotlight. If I got rid of all my wine except this would I be unhappy?, honestly I have to think about it. — 9 years ago
Spicy Asian chicken lollipops and sesame slaw. An awesome threesome with this muller thurgau. Such a great food wine. Especially with http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/guy-fieri/spicy-asian-chicken-lollipops.html — 10 years ago
Best wine I've had yet. Very sweet but delicious! — 11 years ago

Lots of talk about this Alsatian inspired newcomer from Brianne Day of Days Wines in Dundee (Delectable needs to update as it's listed as a different winery and is incorrect). Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Muller Thurgau, Muscat. Floral notes, stone fruit especially peach. Very dry with light to almost media body. Supple mouth feel. Its's a beautiful wine. And sourced from organically and bio- dynamically farmed vineyards is a plus. If you can find it. Buy it! — 7 years ago
Multiple sites. Great balanced acidity, not as much individuality as some of the other muller wines. — 8 years ago
Slight peach, moderate acid, very platable — 8 years ago
Lovely non sweet but not dry either — 8 years ago
Yummy muller typicity, but not over the top. — 9 years ago
Piercing acidity and the kind of steely minerality that makes my eyes squint are hallmarks of quality Riesling from this region, this wine is a nervy bundle of that, with buckets of quite sophisticated-tasting lime juice - almost Gimlet-like. Nice concentration. — 10 years ago
Perfect with Thai food! — 10 years ago
This wine is fun and easy. It is very floral almost like a Viognier but in reality is a field blend of mostly Muller Thurgau and Welschreisling along with 5 or 6 other grapes. There is a touch of RS, but it's inexpensive and delicious and I love it. — 11 years ago
