Have the courage to wait that extra five minutes to let it really open up. — 8 years ago
33 year old Gewurtztraminer vines from the Columbia Gorge. Harvested on the early side, so plenty of acidity remains intact. Shows the powerful, floral aromatics one looks for in this grape, but drinks bone dry. What kind of madness/courage has a producer making dry Gewurz their flagship wine with just over 200 cases? Very highly recommended. — 8 years ago

If I had to fight some toro's I would make sure to get properly mental on this wine for some courage. The notes of cherry, chocolate, and berries are perfectly balanced with acidity and tannin that complements each other in perfect tandem, dancing like the bull and the bull fighter. At 14.5% Look no further than this ganache! — 9 years ago
Not your average Chard here. Wine made with courage indeed. So much texture and character here. Not for everyone but this one we liked. Great acid, bright flavours and terrific hands off appeal. — 9 years ago
Awesome drop and on a deal at BWS too ;-) — 9 years ago

A really nice patio sipper, but I expected a bit more Austrian courage here. Pleasant. — 8 years ago

As I put my sweet baby girl to bed after a looong day, snuggling with her in her new "big girl bed", I found a stray eyelash on her cheek. Maybe I'm alone in this, but for as long as I can remember I have been superstitiously transferring these from one finger to another...and if I blow the lash off while making a wish, "they" say it will come true. I tried wishing this was a 2007 Screaming Eagle - or that I could magically be beamed onto David Lentine's Napa trip for the night (ha!). Alas, no such luck. Seriously thou, with my kids' lashes, I have always wished the same thing: "may you have a wonderful life." But I made this addition: "may you always have the courage to be yourself." #inthistogether #overturnHB2 #onlylove — 9 years ago
For the price- I think it's great $18. I'd compare to a cousin of Prisoner, which is a great wine. Bold, meaty, jammy best with a nice steak. I'm taking to Vegas for my steak dinner. I'm happy to pay the courage fee. Much better than the $100+ a bottle they'd charge me there. — 8 years ago
The history of Lugana dates back to 1993 when Sergio first understood the potential of the Trebbiano di Lugana grape. The Wine embodies his innovative and foresight spirit, as well as the courage to propose the Lugana in a renewed style. Golden yellow with aromas of exotic fruit and floral notes. Palate shows passion fruit, savory full-bodied, lively acidity and mineral tones on a lingering finish. — 8 years ago
Rich and full bodied with delicious berry notes and velvety finish; would definitely purchase more! — 9 years ago
Words sometimes can't express - had an epic night with Steve Reynolds and Fig Tree restaurant Thur night. What an amazing guy. He started with a (small) cheers of tequila to the guys behind the scenes at his operation, admittedly to get his liquid courage (feel ya, Steve) - and then sampled the Chard, Estate Cab, Persistance (named after a Broadway actor whom after 40yrs waiting tables to do what he loved, finally won a Tony - love that sh1t), Italics (yes you know I adore), and finally the Stag's Leap Reserve (a little smoky vs fruity but the fav of others there). He educated the guests between each course on a different facet of the winemaking world (and yes I should have gone to Cal Poly or UC Davis, I missed this calling!!). The Persistence is the winner by far in my book - when we're talking value - for $49, where I was able to buy it - you just can't beat that. '11 is ok but '12 is very yummy (and yes that's the man himself) — 9 years ago
