From the wine list at EMP bought by a new friend at the table next to us to go mano a mano against the 88 La Turque I shared. Slightly darker red and more pure in color. Amazing aroma that is more linear than the animalistic La La but in the same league. Hit its stride right out of the pop and pour gate. Lovely perfume with a more briary nose but speaks Cote Rotie from the get go. Perfectly integrated fruit and structure. Best Jamet I've had. Thanks to Danny for this treat. — 7 years ago
I would go 8.9. I don't QUITE agree with experts. — 8 years ago
Funky savory madness. — 9 years ago
Basque region. Light, spritzy and low alcohol. Think bone dry strawberry-lime soda with an alkaseltzer thrown in. — 5 years ago
Rose, earth, good funk, light in the mouth despite the funky nose — 6 years ago
Beautiful aged Cote Rotie from a half bottle. Juicy dark clue fruit up front and center. On first pour had some acid and tannins which rounded out nicely after 30 min in the decanter. 1999 vintage. — 7 years ago
Biggest surprise of the tasting afternoon. — 9 years ago
Poured w/ homemade pulled pork pizza. Delish. A touch stinky. Juicy. Just damn fun. Held up to the jalapeño, and made the pork even more succulent. What else do ya want for 15 bones? — 11 years ago

Serious cider for serious drinkers... the combination between the apples and noble smoky wood made my day. Fermented to perfection. Dry, tart and smoky with a clean and refreshing finish. It taste like ancient wisdom got thirsty. Can’t get much better than this... IMPERATIVE!!! # To serve, we splash it into the glass, pouring from a very long distance so the cider aerates — if you let it linger too long in the glass, the aeration gets lost and the cider won’t be enjoyable to drink. — 6 years ago
If you thought Cote du Py was amazing, try this. Ridiculously delicious and beautiful wine. — 7 years ago
Pronounced nose of vanilla, cedar, blackberries, black cherries, black pepper. Some meaty notes. Med + body, intensity, tannin, med acid. Long finish. Complex, beautiful now and many years from now. — 9 years ago
Not a cider aficionado, but I like this a lot: crisp and dry with a clove-y finish — 10 years ago
