Cockburn's

Vintage Port Blend 2000

Paul J
9.0

Drank over many months. Not really my style. Wasn’t bad, but wouldn’t buy again. Coffee, plums, prunes, and subtle chocolate. Almost black in color. Very rich and deep. Was a charity purchase which is all that matters! — a month ago

'00, based on ratings, should be considerably better, yet I didn't buy any Cockburn's for that vintage, so intuition?

I’m more of a Kopke fan. I like my ports lighter with caramel and more refined flavors.

Best Port I’ve ever had was the ‘00 Kopke Colheita

No. 1 Special Reserve Port

Port it up and away. Easy to get, with a touch of depth that is a level up. Fruitcake recipes so fresh tho. Rich and still light. Beyond aging forever fruitcake goes a distance. — a year ago

Tawny Eyes Port

Been blending up a storm with this. Solid it says caramel, hazelnut-storms and blackberry/red currant jam clear skies underneath a heady storm. I plugged into a cocktail. Much much a dance partner. — a year ago
