Low tannin, good acid, ripe fruit (cranberry/cherry/raspberry) in a balanced and restrained way. A hint of mint. Great value. — 6 years ago

16,5+/20 — 7 years ago
Aromas of white flower with underlying honey notes. Green apple skins and Meyer lemon on the palate followed by a racy and long mineral finish. Absolutely stunning! — 8 years ago
Though it’s very difficult for me to find a reasonably-priced Bordeaux I actually like, this is one. Bright nose shows dark cherry, cedar shavings, gravel, and a deep woodsy scent. Good cherry-centric fruit, loads of acidity, and a very bright mouthfeel. The acids feel almost like the bright, accentuated acids I associate with Paso Robles limestone soil. Not particularly long or complex in the mouth, but resonates more on the *fun* scale. — 3 years ago
Really pretty blend. Musty and mineral-y. Not too fruity, subtle tannins. Very nice. — 3 years ago
Vintage 2015 / Imagine you find a vineyard with almost 50 years old Chenin Blanc and you are able to make wine from it. Frederic Mabileau must have been thrilled. This vineyard in Saumur is 1 hectare. Minerals in smell, a lot of minerals. Also vanilla (16 months en foudre). Hints of tropical fruit, hay, enormous powerful in taste with good acidity. What a joy to taste this! — 4 years ago
Crazy reduction. Smoke and dark fruit. Rather rustic and unique. — 6 years ago
Excellent value from a great producer. Deep and earthy, bit more full bodied than you might expect. Aromatic and mouth filling with a long finish. Excellent choice from the somm at Blue Hill Stone Barns. — 7 years ago
Bright, rich, some funk, red stone fruit — 8 years ago
Très aromatique beaucoup de fruit et un bel équilibre et longueur. Très riche et tanin bien fait — 10 years ago
Very nice red. Compliments the steak ale and Stilton pie well. Needs time to breath before drinking — 10 years ago
Deep pink. A little sweet spice, like honey baked ham, small white flowers on the nose. A light and fresh palette, initially you get fruit like fresh blueberries maybe a little tartness/cranberry with a nice sense of minerality, dissipates quickly into slight funk and menthol/cough syrup/outer layer of tootsie pop. Long finish. Definitely more tannin then you’re used to with a rose. — 3 years ago
Black cherries, smooth, vanilla. Light on tongue — 3 years ago

Made in Bordeaux but played like a Burgundy. Ripe fruit, rich texture, fine barrel integration, holding its pants even at a temperature around 10-12c.. considerable length - over 20 seconds. Price as jumped since last vintage, so did the quality. This wine can bluff a Burgundy amateur in blind tasting that's for sure; it does feel like a wine from Puligny. — 6 years ago
High score for enjoyability not complexity. Grainy fine tannins, real verve & energy, cassis/currants. Johannes find. — 7 years ago
