Ethereal nose of dried, dirty mushrooms, light tar and asphalt. Meticulous layers of cherry tea, dried strawberry and old leather. Despite a few angles this was silky, sensual. Have you ever had Blaufränkisch Rosé? I certainly hadn’t until this bottle of #dope from Weingut Claus Preisinger. Unfined, unfiltered and totally raw, this Austrian #naturalwine from Burgenland has a tantalizing effervescence with some serious funk on it 😋 Strawberries, rhubarb and herbs with a pretty minerality. Very fresh & quite herby, with great purity of fruit (plums, blueberries) but also some nice earthy and tobacco & vegetal notes. Polished tannins and nice balance with freshness and a wide huff of menthol adding lightness to the ripeness. This is quite modern but also authentic and very drinkable. A nice wine. — 5 years ago
