Needs to open up 30 minutes or so. Once opened smooth at first with big tannic finish. — 7 years ago
Light straw color. Expressive nose with aromas of lime zest, pear, gooseberry, and freshly cut grass. Medium bodied featuring flavors of ripe lime and green apple. Crisp, refreshing finish with vibrant acidity. Andrew Rich and Croft Vineyards from whom the fruit is sourced are amongst the few Willamette Valley producers of Sauvignon Blanc. Single vineyard bottling. 14.1% alcohol. $22. — 7 years ago

The 2016 Syrah Watch Hill Vineyard is dense, powerful and super-concentrated. Inky blue/purplish fruit, lavender, menthol, licorice and spice notes are all amped up in this rich, beautifully resonant Syrah. Dollops of Viognier add brightness and floral top notes, but the Watch Hill remains a pretty big, yet nuanced, wine. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2018) — 7 years ago

Excellent and fine village Burg from Macon - tiny production. Touch of oak. A steal at $25 if you can find it. — 9 years ago
The nose on this is ethereal & elegant. Fruity notes with some leafy undertones. The palate shows a much bigger frame with rich dark cherry notes and some blueberry character on the back end. Tannins are present, but well balanced and the palate weight gets more elegant with air. — 6 years ago
Dark cherry and cassis. Lots of vanilla notes. Soft, mild tannins. Good QPR. — 7 years ago
Welcome to Easter weekend and lets start the weekend off right with a wonderful Bordeaux Blend from Andrew Will, the 2011 Champoux Vinyard continues to impress. This is a right bank blend of 54% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Franc and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The nose is beautifully expressive with notes of blackberry, black cherry, black currants, tobacco, licorice, chocolate, herbal notes, spice, violets and fresh tilled soil.
On the palate there is well balanced notes of black cherry, blackberry, black currant, green bell pepper that I love oh so much, chocolate, graphite shavings, and floral notes.
This is a full bodied wine with medium + acidity and firm outstanding gripping tannins. This wine does not disappoint.
Everyone have a great Easter weekend and please take thing easy, be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 9 years ago
