Blend of 45% Grenache Blanc, 30% Clairette, 20% Bourboulenc and 5% barrel-fermented Roussanne, pale lemon color with aromas of green and stone fruits with citrus and honey notes. On the palate flavors of apricot, apple, peach and pear, crisp with good balance of acid, still fresh and lively. The medium+ finish is tangy with smoky, nutty earthy ending. Good now, some age will benefit the wine! Nice! Be sure not to over chill as you will lose out on all of the complex flavors and aromas. — 7 months ago
Really incredible wine. Not paired with any food, the wine is flavorful, quenching w/ oak flavor adding the right dryness and notes of plum & vanilla to finish - really well balanced and opened well. Bottled was empty far too quickly : ) — 4 years ago
Amazingly fresh peach notes in this unusual California Chardonnay in the French style — 5 years ago
Bought with dinner at Elkridge Furnace Inn 2/25 $50. Full body, firm tannins, spicy. — 4 months ago
A GSM blend that is 75 percent Grenache. Great balance, nice fruitiness. December 2024. — 7 months ago
Cloudy garnet color promises the vitality and exuberance of unfiltered #pinotnoir. Ripe cherry, red bramble fruit, strawberry. High-toned acidity on the palate, layered red fruit carries through. Irresistible #sonomacoast bottle that disappears quickly. — 8 months ago
Easy drinking, well balanced, hardly any tannins — 5 years ago
Fabulously surprising! This wine is one of those warm robust bear humans who wraps you in a hug that doesn’t smother you, it frees you. It’s fresh. Oodles of dark berries and plums plus vanilla and a very herbal earthy thing and something like leather. So very very good. — 5 years ago

First-rate #sonomacoastpinot #fortross producer so I could not pass up the WTSO special offer price on this fairly recent vintage. Seems to open up after a day or two in the wine fridge. Delicate nose of dried rose petal and cherries, medium bodied mouthfeel. Delicious wine but their Sea Slope Sonoma Coast lower tier offering was just as good with higher QPR. — 5 months ago

Presented to me blind at Tasting Group. The wine appears bright yellow with medium viscosity; no signs of sediment, gas or particles. On the nose, the wine is developing with ripe orchard fruit: stone fruits, lemons, white flowers, lanolin and minerals. On the palate the wine is off-dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and full of character. The alcohol is medium+. Initial conclusions: this could be Chenin Blanc, Riesling or Chardonnay from France, Germany or the United States. But I didn’t get any petrol so I eliminated Riesling and I don’t think you could get the balance of fruit and high acid from California Chardonnay (and the oak would probably be so pronounced). So I called Chenin Blanc from France, from the Loire, Vouvray Demi-Sec. Well…I should have known this could be Joly! Close…but some miles away from each other and I’d like to have the confidence to call producer in this case. Drink now through 2034. — 4 months ago
