Something very clean and elemental about this wine, and something Bordelaise as well, given the depth, lack of California over-ripeness and relative inaccessibility in youth. Not an "easy" wine, but neither is young Lynch Bages.

Mid weight, fairly tight but pretty aromatics emerge after some air. Lots of minerality, cherries and black currants, cedar, graphite, tobacco. Classically styled, big time potential. Plan to pick up a few more and check in again in 5-10 years.

Expected this to be a lean, racy, "let's think about what elemental Cab really means, even if it's a bit polarizing and vaguely unpleasant" a Sonoma Loire CF to Napa's Modern Bordeaux. I was wrong. This is delicious, and has crunchy red fruit with some cassis and classic cab flavors, and has zingy acidity, but not at the expense of body or vanillin. Call it a modern middleweight and be happy.

Just a great wine. Great nose, smooth texture, tannins, dark fruits, good acid. Fantastic.

Gave this 5h slow ox then 1 hour decant. It’s made in the “old” Cali style of the 70s/80s, or perhaps Mayacamas of today, or obviously Bdx. Low ripeness, low extraction, moderate oak. Shows beautiful freshness and clarity of terroir and fruit, with nice secondary notes. This is a little unfocused at the moment with the acid a touch too strong. But overall it’s a fantastic and refreshing bottle swimming amongst an ocean of oak and extraction. I will pop my other bottle in 5 years.

First Sonoma coast cab for me, would've pegged it for Santa Cruz mountains (in a very good way). Really nice and nuanced. Solid wine from Enfield
