1985 vintage. At Hotel Les Crayeres. Medium golden hue. Hints of oxidation with mushroom truffle aromas that did blow off to some degree over time. Not a whole lot of primary fruit here, especially when compared with the superior Champagne Charlie from the same vintage that was as fresh as a daisy. On the palate, medium acidity and body, medium plus concentration of flavours and finish. Drink up. Good but not stellar. — 9 years ago

Nice bonus to a fine meal at Charlie Bird. Props to Brandon and the team for their hospitality, Montevertine for the win! — 10 years ago
The vineyard is mere yards from Meursault, and this wine is just as good (or better) than a lot of Meursaults I've had. Perfect with Lobster and drawn butter. — 11 years ago
Charlie & Chuck's 2nd vintage - still going strong - all parts Cabernet old school style. Last bottle from the cellar. Meant to try it last year. — 12 years ago

Nice easy drinking Syrah. Not as big as other Wellington Syrahs, but very enjoyable. — 9 years ago
This was fantastic. Incredible aroma, lemon and very elegant oak notes, the flavor was amazing. Great levity, balance and acidity, continuous flavors, seemed to keep evolving and last forever. Pretty damn amazing. Thanks to Chris and Max! — 10 years ago
NV. Oh Charlie H. Elegant, chalky, bready, and red fruited. Hints of brioche. On the palate, crisp and clean acidity, medium concentration of red currant and brioche. Good finish. A great NV rose. — 11 years ago
