Pure infanticide on my part. But here it goes!
On pop & pour, nose is super closed! Tiny traces of smoke and leather, asking with alcohol heat. On palate, I'm getting a lot of sour fruit on entry, with the smoky wood on the mid palate. Sour fruit spike in the center. Covers whole tongue well, dark fruit at the edges with super long finish.
13 min in glass, black pepper edge to the nose., along with woody accents. Palate is similar, but slowly spreading the fruit from center all the way across the mid palate.
Needs at*least* another 3-5 years in bottle!

Nice easy drinking Syrah. Not as big as other Wellington Syrahs, but very enjoyable.
