Focal Banger India Pale Ale

This is insanely complex. Just tons of flavor and again awesome malt backbone similar to heady. Tart grapefruit, limes, with a bread like quality. Then big bitterness like orange rind and pine sap. Makes my mouth water. — 5 years ago

Little oaky at first, but after a breather the oak recedes and gives way to red & dark fruits; like a juice — 7 years ago

12 Year Old World Madeira Cask Vermont Straight Rye Whiskey

Simply phenomenal. A Rye to seek out. Painfully smooth and glides down like butter. A 3 blend rye aged in Madeira/Sauternes/Port casks...the majority in Madeira. As for the painting it is a work from Todd Marinovich himself who is the protagonist here 🖕🏽 and a guy who many of my friends went to school with at SC. He’s been a tool a good part of his life but who knows what signposts dictate a man’s life path. His Dad’s approach to parenting is a cautionary tale for sure. I hope he’s turned it around. His painting cracked me up last night, I know that. — 7 years ago

@TheSkip this is way too high end to remove back hair. If you need folical removal via corn alcohol drink some Early Times. Ya heard? You’re welcome!

Strawberry Blush Vermont Strawberry-Riesling Blend

Summer cocktail disguised as a wine. This is actually made with Riesling and I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. Very fruit but not too sweet to consider it a dessert wine.
The setting was idyllic: sitting on the winery’s porch with a summer breeze with the mountains in the distance. I brought a bottle back for the office to try so it’ll be interesting to see if this still holds up without the countryside surroundings.

Ci Confonde Pétillant Naturel Sparkling Blend 2016

12/V/2018

Lost And Found Craft Cider 2016

Small batch no. 16, “The Raven”. One of their first I’ve had of theirs that has a [mild] acetic profile. As my dad said, “kinda smells like those chips we used to eat.. salt & vinegar!” Super tasty and the quality of the feral fruit shows. Cool, deep fruit comes through on nose. Finish sticks to your gums rather than tongue... tannins. — 7 years ago

Beyond the world of fruit. Aromas of soil, meat juice, smoked country ham, truffle peelings. Showed some initial CO2 which was better with an hour of air and showed really well on day two. — 8 years ago
