A captivating display of blackberry, plum, grilled herbs, cedar dust and balsamic spice wafts up from the 2016 Mille e una Notte. It’s silky in texture and polished in feel, offering ripe black fruits lifted by cooling minerality. This remains tightly wound up in its youthful state, as a fine coating of sweet tannin settles in to create a structured finale, with pretty purple-tinged florals and hints of licorice lingering long. The 2016 may be one of the most refined expressions of Mille e Una Notte that I’ve ever tasted, but it will need some time to show its best. This is composed primarily of Nero D'Avola, Petit Verdot and Syrah, which is expertly refined in new barriques for 14 months. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2021)

A really nice bottle. Full body white - granche Blanc gives it a nice robust mouth feel and flavour. — a year ago
Amazing! Superbly drinkable but barnyardy & complex.
Purchased repeatedly from Bari on 3rd.

Love this Bordeaux blend. The smell is awesome - lightly sweet - and I love the dryness of the wine on the palate. Still a little bit of fruit though, which I like. Great for our Bastille Day cheese board (except for the salmon eggs - it highlighted their strong salt flavor) and would buy again for a French-themed meal. — 4 years ago

so fresh easy to drink but not so light — 5 years ago
A blend of mostly Nero d'Avola adding some Petit Verdot, Syrah and a few other grapes. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, sweet notes and spicy scents. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry, currant like, with notes of cacao, licorice and sweet spice, well balanced with acidity. Fine tannins, long finish, ending with fruit, tobacco and sweet earthy character. Very nice! — 2 years ago
A typical nose of cedar and black currant yet with nice floral hints. Palate has class and elegance like a good Margaux should, the tannins are smooth and silky despite a decent structure and backbone for his medium bodied wine, very nice and fun to drink even at this infancy stage.
Nez floral avec des notes de cassis et de cèdre. La bouche a de la classe et de l’élégance comme tout bon Margaux, des tannins assez tendres et fins, tout en ayant suffisamment de structure, très bien. 89-90 — 4 years ago
