One of my favourite hidden gem BdB champagnes that I loved in 90 & 96 so excited to try the 02 @ £140 that was a generous gift 😍 Tied with string to hold the cork 👍

Terrific BdB. Lively with honeyed notes and velvety mousse! — 9 years ago
A real eye opening stand-out of the Champagne trip, so amazingly expressive/balanced/pure, all GC BdB, can't get any better than that. — 9 years ago
Le Cotet from Montgeuex made by Manu Lassaigne is a masterpiece in BdB, deg. 14/06/2016, very tasty and delicious, razor sharp Chardonnay dosage Extra Brut, don't mask the superior grape materiel🍾 — 9 years ago
A BdB with the volume turned up. Expressive and in your face. Vinous and immediate and hitting all the marks for great bubbles. Great value. — 10 years ago
The 2008 BdB Pol Roger has apples and lemon, and some Christmas stuffing characteristics too. Very open and inviting.
Bringing in the New Year quietly but happily, having spent the latter part of the day hanging art while a stew slowly cooked. Cara is 7+ months along so not really holding her own when it comes to Champagne, or any wine for that matter. Extra glasses for me... — 7 years ago
Next to Salon this is my favourite BdB vintage drop @ £114 & it's well worth it as a treat 😍
🍷 Golden straw
👃 Toasted brioche, sticky toffee pudding, butterscotch whip, charred citrus zest & crushed rock
👄 Med bodied persistent fine mousse ooozing toffee green sour apples, minerals, lime driven subtle citrus & honey caramel biscuit in med acidity
🎯 Long slight dry minerally citrus, caramel green sweet & sour apple w/ biscuity coating — 8 years ago

Dominated by fresh yellow orchard fruits. Yellow apples, yellow pear, quince, orange zest, white blossoms. Elegant mineral tone of wet clay, sweet cream, light caramel, warm spices. Demonstrates BdB elegance with a touch more weight to it. Beautiful and very accessible. 7/2015 disgorgement. — 10 years ago
Maybe the best BdB I've had. Deliciously rich and toasty, with depth and complexity. — 10 years ago
A great value BDB - fresh & alive! — 8 years ago
Nice start. Classic Compte. Everything you want in a BdB. Really drinking nicely. Great breadth of flavors. Perfect with the background raw goodies. — 9 years ago
Mkt bra BdB. Riktigt bra pigg syra, grönäpplighet och undertoner av nougat som verkligen tillför. 2008! — 9 years ago
At first I didn't realise this had no dosage. Perfectly balanced non-dosé - perhaps the partial malo helped toned down the acidity, or maybe some rs in the base/ex-tirage wine. Chalky undertones (perfect expression of terrior imo), nice autolytic characters (2 years in bottle), apple, grapefruit, lemon, honey, and a touch of stinky funk. Really quite a delicious bdb.
Note: Laherte Frères. Grower champagne from Coteaux Sud d'Épernay (slopes to the south of Épernay). Young winemaker, Aurelian Laherte, joining family estate. Biodynamically farmed, wild yeast ferments, 80% of cuvees fermented in old oak (ex-Ben Leroux and Liger-Belair). Focus on terrior. — 10 years ago
Slightly yeasty, but otherwise a light, clean style with characteristic structure of BdB. Quite nice. — 11 years ago

Matti Jokelainen
2013 base, discorged 2015, 3g dosage. Absolutely wonderful Champagne. Golden hue. Orchad fruit, toasty notes and some butter. Quite substantial and powerfull BdB. On the palate this has some real authority following the nose. Orange, pear, minerality. Firm, lively with long lingering aftertaste of citrus notes and minerality. No hurry to drink but already in a great spot. — 7 years ago
