Smells like a Pinot, looks like a Cab Sauv, body and finish of a Zinfandel. Aromas of gingerbread with flavors of red berries and even cranberry. Lots of sweet spicy notes. Let this one open up as it is a BIG Pinot Noir. Almost like Christmas in a glass. Outstanding! — 9 years ago

1994. Hard to believe it's a 1994. I'm sure I've never tasted a better 1994 from Bordeaux. Currant, cassis, some vegetal notes, leather, barnyard. Beautiful with some power. Doesn't taste to me like it is fading at all. — 11 years ago

A pretty wine with that textbook herbs and earth that is common in all of these wines a bit of peppery spice. Very smooth and silky sweet fruit with lovely freshness echoing that spice earth notes drinking very nicely but has the structure to age a bit more bit drinking so nicely right now it is hard to keep away from. Super bright, clear wine, lighter bodied. Wonderful melon, lemongrass, passion fruit and white pepper nose. Green melon, passion fruit, peach, ginger and some herb notes I'm struggling to identify beyond the lemon grass, maybe tomato leaf? Passion fruit comes through nicely on the finish. Surprised this wasn't more tannic - thought it was very well structured with dark jammy fruits and bell pepper on the nose (actually didn't find the pepper notes unpleasant at all, which I typically steer clear of). Black fruits, charcoal smoke, cracked black pepper all hit high with some light hints of licorice and...jalapeño? All in all a pleasant wine to pair with a homemade Beef Wellington on this anniversary year of the Judgement of Paris. — 10 years ago
