1986 and still room to grow. Lots of brilliant red fruit on the nose. Oak is faint but there. Hints of irony blood and band aid. Palate leans more towards darker fruit with fine tannins and tangy acidity. Lovely. Two bottles tasted with consistent notes.

1986 vintage. Softer than I anticipated, particularly given some of the literature out there on this era of the Dominus wines. But she held up beautifully and was a pleasure to enjoy alongside a 1985 Marston Cabernet from the hills. Much life remaining!

‘86 showing well! On the downhill slide but still an impressive wine. Color and texture is there but fruit is fading.

A vintage that has always reminded me of a great Pauillac. Seems to be at its peak now & can’t see it getting better with more time. Red berry, cassis, leather, cedar, earth & tobacco.

How to even rate a wine like this? It's 30 years old and still delicious. Unsurprising depth/complexity with tobacco and leather to the fore. Black fruits in there, but seriously...30 years...

Wonderful aromas from this, and very strong nodes of spices, herbs, cassis, and cedar. Slight tannins, and a dryness that builds over the course of a glass. Also discovered a youthful strawberry profile nearing the end of my glass, and that was delicious. Overall very good!

1986. Heavy, one dimensional black walnut flavot. Raisiny. Quite disappointing as I love dominus. Ah well. The 90 last week was stunning.
