Enjoyed this somewhat exotic wine. Recommended by a sommelier at a wine shop. Apparently the grape was assumed extinct for 400 years until it was discovered growing on someone’s property in the 1980s. Taste is akin to a Nebbiolo. Blueberry and blackberry on the nose. Bright berries with balanced acidity and dryness. Would love to have again. — 4 years ago

From Eataly tasting. 2018. Very nice red. Really liked it. SP1523 on side of label. — 7 years ago
Interesting nose but excellent palate - Black pepper, cherry, woody, blackberry and very easy to drink - goes well with our Italian meal. — 8 years ago
Really nice Brunello from a very small producer. 45 euro at the winery and it compares very favorably to the nearby Casanova de Neri. — 9 years ago
It’s alright, a little bland. Dark cherries, oak or cedar, maybe some herbs 🤔 — 2 years ago
Surprisingly approachable for a Brunello despite a richness that the wine exudes. Lots of forest floor alongside of nicely structured tannins that evolve in the glass. A little more alcoholic than I normally expect from this varietal. Comparable in many ways to the white label of Casanova di Neri… — 4 years ago
Young Silvia Barbaglia makes fantastic wines in this tiny Northern Piemonte DOC. Boca is a blend from Nebbiolo and Vespolina. This 2006 has aged beautifully and smells like Nebbiolo dried roses, intertwined with Vespolina violets. Elegant and profound, perfectly balanced and very good length. Wish I had more of this in my cellar. — 7 years ago

Orvieto Classico - brilliant gold not quite as brilliant as the Neri.
Grechetto 50%, Procanico 40% and drupeggio verdello Malvasia 10%. On the nose, apple, peach and florals. On the palate, peach and heavy minerality. — 2 years ago
