It’s alright, a little bland. Dark cherries, oak or cedar, maybe some herbs 🤔 — 3 years ago
Surprisingly approachable for a Brunello despite a richness that the wine exudes. Lots of forest floor alongside of nicely structured tannins that evolve in the glass. A little more alcoholic than I normally expect from this varietal. Comparable in many ways to the white label of Casanova di Neri… — 5 years ago

Spice, leather, blackberry, vanilla nose. Lush blackberry, tobacco and, mineral, hint of raisin in the finish. — 8 years ago
Really nice Brunello from a very small producer. 45 euro at the winery and it compares very favorably to the nearby Casanova de Neri. — 9 years ago
100% grachetto
On the nose, citrus and yeast. On the palate, lemon, yeast. Loses bubbles quickly. — 2 years ago
Orvieto Classico - brilliant gold not quite as brilliant as the Neri.
Grechetto 50%, Procanico 40% and drupeggio verdello Malvasia 10%. On the nose, apple, peach and florals. On the palate, peach and heavy minerality. — 2 years ago
Enjoyed this somewhat exotic wine. Recommended by a sommelier at a wine shop. Apparently the grape was assumed extinct for 400 years until it was discovered growing on someone’s property in the 1980s. Taste is akin to a Nebbiolo. Blueberry and blackberry on the nose. Bright berries with balanced acidity and dryness. Would love to have again. — 5 years ago
Found in a local wine shop. Perfect evening white. — 7 years ago

Sangiovese and montepulciano
Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry and red berry with minerals. On the palate, mirrors the nose with strong minerality. Surprisingly good. — 2 years ago
2022 still solid sipper! 12.5% — 2 years ago
Young Silvia Barbaglia makes fantastic wines in this tiny Northern Piemonte DOC. Boca is a blend from Nebbiolo and Vespolina. This 2006 has aged beautifully and smells like Nebbiolo dried roses, intertwined with Vespolina violets. Elegant and profound, perfectly balanced and very good length. Wish I had more of this in my cellar. — 7 years ago

Revisiting this once bringing a few bottles home from the winery. Pale straw coloration. On the nose, ripe peach, some pear and apple. On the palate, strong notes of peach and a very long finish minerality. Medium to fuller bodied with nice acidity. I thought Cantine Neri’s Orvieto Classico was fantastic but this white wine outdoes it in my opinion with its just a wonderful balance of acidity, robust body, minerality and fruit. — 2 years ago
