Great value. I prefer with some more bottle time. Decant — a year ago
Delicious. Very hearty without too much tanin. Just a nicely balanced. — 2 years ago
South Africa throwback. Very good. — 6 days ago
Dry farmed! Color of blood. Or a bruised plum. Smells like Spanish red. Wood shavings. Berry-cherry pies. Menthol. Flavors are dense and on point. Plenty of woodsy stuff in the mouth too. Just a little fennel. Black cherries. Tannins are tongue drying and pleasant. Hint of licking a sharpened pencil tip perhaps. This is classic Rioja with all the trimmings. — 9 months ago
Deep ruby color.
Aromas of baked red fruit, baking spice.
Dry. Flavors of ripe raspberry, cherry, cinnamon, anise, candied red berry finish. Medium-rich, velvety tannins.

Mid range Raul Perez, I actually found this more pleasing than the higher range — 7 months ago
Nose is classic Touriga National violets, cherry liqueur, and earthy crushed stone. Soft and mouthfilling, it’s intensely minerally on the palate, with enough dark cherry extract fruit to keep it from being too one-dimensional. Tannins are super-soft, and there is abundant acidity.
UPDATE. A few hours later interesting notes of cinnamon are emerging. — a year ago

Great with the food but a little sharp on its own. — 10 days ago
