When i first reviewed this wine i was unimpressed. However This stuff is beautiful now. Smooth tannins. Cherry notes. Forrest floor? May be this is great because of the dessert climate around me - Anza Borrego. — 10 years ago

Camping in Anza Borrego. 93F in mid April. But at night really pleasant. And if you go camping you need a wine which can take a beating in the desert and still tastes awesome. Stored on ice and then tasted with Rib-eye steak from the grill. Lilac, quite tannic, leather, cherry - of course it is blasphemy to open this so soon should have bought more!!!!! — 2 years ago

Well wine still awesome. I drink this now with Christoph Ebner an old friend at the Anza Borrego State Park. Some bottle shock as we drove it through the dessert but still awesome. Really great stuff expensive but worth it. Prefer the 12 over the 13. And by the way Jason who imports this wine is a great guy. — 10 years ago
