Firewood, smoked pork, earthy, barn-yardy. Medium body, acidic up front, lush in the back. Great quality. Unique overall! (@ Taste - 4.5 - would buy again!) — 4 years ago
Spiced meaty notes on the nose upon first opening, like stewed red peppers and beef. Elves into juicier riper red fruit notes as it breathes. Cooked plums and cherries. Bright vibrant young meaty cherry and blueberry fruits jump onto the palate with kalamata olive undertones and plentiful acid. Balanced with a body and mid palate that is complimented by both introductory and finishing flavors and sensations. — 4 years ago

Vintage 2013 / made from #cannonau #carignano #bovale #malvasianegro #sangiovese 18 months on new barrels. Very impressive wine. Super rich. Cedar. Roundness. Way too young but with lots and lots of potential. #sardegna — 6 years ago
Poured into a decanter about an hour before service. The 2005 pours a ruby color with a transparent but slightly turbid core. Medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. Some signs of fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of bruised strawberry, crushed ripe raspberry, Balsamico, well oiled leather, cayenne pepper, dry underbrush, exotic spices, carnations, rich Mahogany that has been freshly varnished and stony earth. Yes, there is VA but it’s Italian. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, rich and savory. The alcohol is high but well integrated and doesn’t detract from the experience. This is a stunning showing from Sardegna and an absolute banger with malloreddus. Drink now and over the next few years. — 9 months ago
This wine is deep gold with notable haze and visible lees, due to lack of fining / filtration, which gives this wine great texture and weight.
The extended skin contact contributes not only the color and texture, but the aromatic notes of ripe cantaloupe, honeydew, orange peel, grapefruit pith, also dried orange blossom, freshly cut herbs, wet slate, tomato leaf, and salinity.
Vintage 2019. ABV 13%.
Excited for this delish and versatile, food-friendly wine. — 3 years ago
“... its bright acid lending it a crisp and refreshing finish after a pallet-coding glide across the pallet.“ It’s alcohol is well integrated…” “ this wine shows the side of the Grenache (a.k.a. Cannonau) grape that is not seen often enough-the finessed and fragrant side.“ - Ian Cauble, Master Sommelier — 5 years ago

Delicious. 2005 vintage. At optimal drinking. Savory, textured, perfumes. — 6 years ago
Deep garnet color with ruby highlights. Aromas of cooked red fruit and coffee. Ripe red cherry and raspberry fruit on the palate with distinctive notes of minerals, bittersweet chocolate and tobacco. Medium intensity and medium-plus bodied, but with a nice juicy quality and smooth and well integrated tannins and acidity. Nothing over the top but nicely balanced. Best on the first day. Great with lighter foods and an excellent value. Thanks for the bottle, Kase. — 10 months ago

Silky, pretty. $10 C — 4 years ago
Amazingly round wine with rich and clear strawberry dominant. We loved it with chicken baked in Dijon mustard and spring salad. Slightly tart shade but just enough to be deep and memorable. Definitely with us for a long time! — 4 years ago
