Facing a natural terrace above the river Miño, located in the town of As Neves, within the wine region of Condado do Tea, bordering Portugal. Pale yellow with pronounced fruit and floral aromas. On the palate white flesh fruit flavors, citrus and herb notes with lively acidity and nice balance of minerality. Crisp on the finish ending with lemon zest notes. Nice! — 5 years ago

Definitely lives up to the ciliegia in its name 🍒. Bright cherry, raspberry, with saline and mineral and a little graphite. Light tannins and nice, bright acids. A rare and special blend of Garnacha, Tintilla de Rota, and Tempranillo from the incredibly beautiful town of Ronda in Andalucia. This is an earthy, macho, and lusty wine! My friend described it as a bad boy, the kind that makes you want to behave badly. This wine has mineral aromas and flavors of dried mud and straw combined with black cherry and black currant notes that stretch into savory, meaty impressions. Tobacco and vanilla flavors linger long on the palate. With smooth tannins, and medium plus balanced acidity, this is a winner! — 6 years ago

Have yet to have an EK bottle disappoint. This is in a fantastic window right now. So good. From the winery; ‘In the glass, the 2013 Small Town Pinot is a very pretty medium garnet color. Explosive aromas of crushed red cherry, forest floor and spice abound, followed by an outright party of ripe cranberry, strawberry, black plum and rhubarb pie on the palate. All rounded out by hints of juniper berry, nutmeg and cloves. A hair riper than last year, but no less graceful, there’s a pleasant sense of all-around finesse.’ All ringing true tonight. Located on the outskirts of the medieval town of Saint-Emilion, at the southern foot of the slope. A blend of 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc, & 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, a lower Merlot blend (normally 70% in Saint-Emilion) allowing more for Cab Franc, enhanced by the warm soil. Wonderful, complex a Gem! Perfect now! Subtle fruit aromas accompanied by cedar & spice. The palate shows fresh ripe berry fruits, cacao and espresso notes.
