Orangey, herby, and nutty. We had with pasta and sausage. Would be perfect paired with roasted chicken. But really skies the limit with what dishes you want to pair with. — 7 years ago
After 14 years aging a pretty good Bordeaux to accompany veal chop in the French style. After adequate breathing and decanting, developed quite nice fruit and pretty smooth and balanced finish. Lovely drinking under mild skies. — 8 years ago
Everything that is right about blue skies and orange sunlight, bottled into 750ml of goodness — 9 years ago
Light purple robe. Metallic, calico nose with hints of banana and heavy flowers. Tastes of blueberries and strawberries with a warm, smooth finish, quite short and sweet overall. Lovely wine! — 9 years ago
Really fine Pinot. Nose skies out of the glass. Moist earth, sweet spices, tangy, rich black cherry juice, a bit of sweet, high-toned smoke. In the mouth it’s so flavorful yet seems to float. Very pure, tangy flavors that cling. Very little tannin. Seemingly still pretty youthful. — 5 years ago

100% Petit Verdot that drinks well young is not easy. Northstar has done a pretty nice job with their 2013. They source the fruit from their Stone Tree vineyard on Wahluke Slope & Shaw vineyard on Red Mtn.. On the nose, ruby fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries & faint strawberries. Smoke, grilled meats, pepper, caramel, mocha, dry herbs and fresh & dry florals. The body and tannins are M-M+. The core of the fruit palate is black currants. Tarry notes, pepper, mocha, caramel, smoke, blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, dry soil, dry crushed rocks powder, dry stems, dry herb notes, spice, leather, violets, dry dark florals with nice acidity. The round finish starts fruity then drys but has very good structure, length, tension & balance. Photos of; their estate Merlot vines, cellar stainless tanks and the estate fruit starting to go through veraison. In the Estate photo, you can see the smoke filling the valley skies from the wild fires in British Columbia. — 8 years ago

Like taking a cold shower and a breath of fresh air at the same time. Diving into this basket of ripe, red raspberries and delicate rose petals has me feeling light. Coupled with a little fennel, and a touch of white pepper on the palate, I think I’ve officially found my go-to warm evening red. I don’t like repeating wines, but this - this is a very refreshing welcome amidst this hideous European summer - what a drag. Who wants sun and blue skies? No one. — 6 years ago
The skies parted and I got to pour several of these at an event . Let’s say it was amazing to sip this over 6 hours. #charmedlife #lovemyjob — 7 years ago

Had to capture the contrast between the cobalt blue sky and the lava lamp neon orange skin fermented wine. Reminiscent of a Jules Verne novel.
Oranges and apricots in the bouquet blend with honey bee pollen aromas.
Sips of this are sun kisses showering down from the skies as rays of refreshing , thirst quenching flavor.
Clementine surf on a spindrift of apricots cresting into a thyme undercurrent.
Despite having a considerable amount of sediment, which I allowed to diffuse into the elixir, I couldn’t detect much of the funky notes they warn you of. Just rounded out sips of pleasure and satisfaction.
Simply, simply love this. — 5 years ago
