Because when my wife spends all day making her bolognese, I have to give her something nice to drink. This one was in perfect shape, with gorgeous cherry and orange peel and cedar layered over leather and earth. Great acids suggest this has another 5-10 in it easily.

Yum. Young. Nice tannins. This easily does another 10 without much effort. #2010vintage

So wonderfully constructed with present yet silky tannins and super fresh acidity, creating a mental connection to both Barolo and Burgundy. Thanks to its pretty fruit, it's drinking dangerously well already, but there's still no sign of tertiary aromas, so better wait.

Firmly tannic but drinkable already. Lots and lots of pretty green notes. Always elegant.

2010 Brunello. What a nose! Rose petal, anise, smoked meat, velvet mouthfeel, intensely feminine, suave, silky decadent Sangiovese! This is very much textbook Brunello in the classic style of Poggio al Sotto or even Soldera!

High-pitched and exotic aromas transports you to a crowdy Marrakesh market, where ripe cherries are sold under clear skies. Elegant and seriously structured on the somewhat backward palate, but this baby hold plenty in reserve. Love it!

Powerful and robust brunello as wine #2 of the night after our voerzio Barolo and it did not need the food or even much airtime. Strong offering from the start.

Smoky. Dark. Little chocolate. Touch of raspberry. Little cherry. Good acidity
