So fresh, lean and floral. Not grassy. Pure joy — 8 years ago
Sauvignon Blanc fruit w a natural wine funk and fuller mouthfeel. Pear skin, oxidized apple, raw honey, musty cheese, creme brûlée (w/o malolactic fermentation, no less). The full body and acidity is an incredible balance. It tastes like a spring wind full of polen mixed with a funky cheese in a dark bar. — 8 years ago
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is rich, racy and explosive to the core. An exotic tapestry of plums, sweet black cherries, smoke, bittersweet chocolate, licorice and dark spices race across the palate. Ample and intense, the 2012 has more than enough depth to fill its broad-shouldered frame. The 2012 is the most open-knit vintage made here so far. I imagine it will provide several decades of fine drinking. In keeping with the style of the vintage, the 2012 is quite generous and resonant, with a demi-glace like sense of silkiness and unctuosity. This is the first vintage that incorporates the younger 20 year-old vines. Next to some of the other vintages made so far, the 2012 is a bit monochromatic, but it is striking for its sheer opulence. Just 143 cases were made. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2015) — 8 years ago
