Perfumed. Medium bodied. Cherry, raspberry. Bright acidity. — 8 years ago
Can't say enough about a wine this serious at this price point. Absolutely stunning, elegant, and even (in a chinon way) powerful. Floral aromatic dominate - lavender and a bit of rose. Graphite, dusty chalk, red pepper, some raspberry. Fresh yet not primary. Hints of savory notes as well. Incredible spine of minerality runs through the palate. Great acidity and structure. Coiler and energetic. Finishes long and bright with refreshing pyrazines for days. In an incredible place now, so no fault in drinking but has a long, long life ahead. One of the best values in the wine world. Just exceptional — 9 years ago
Love it. Light and airy, with bright fruit and acid, not unlike a Cru Beaujolais. Doing the Jura proud, to be sure. — 10 years ago
Just F'n fun — 11 years ago
2000 vintage. Deep ruby, edging to deep garnet around the rim, very bright. Plush on the nose. The black cassis notes from the Cab and the violets from the Cab Franc are very noticeable. The wine is developing with huge sweet spice, vanilla, smoke and leather. There's a bovril, meaty note here that's very attractive. On the palate, medium acidity, high tannin - grippy, but not coarse; well integrated. Alcohol is 13% and unobtrusive. Good concentration. Fruit is riper on palate than in the mouth, and a distinctive dark chocolate and cinnamon note. The finish is long and attractive. Hard to imagine this wine drinking any better from here. — 11 years ago
This is the Pinot noir, but new to this app and don't know how to change. Any suggestions? Nice bright acidity to this wine by the way — 12 years ago
1978 vintage. Cassis, mushroom, earth on the nose. Bright red fruit up front, crunchy tart fruit on the back end. Well structured with firm tannins and med-high acid. Dang yo — 6 years ago
Dark ruby, bright, doesn’t look it’s age. Awesome funky old Cal Cab nose. Notes of cherry, cranberry sauce, dirt and some balsa wood. Some steminess. Great perfume. Nice in the mouth but missing just a little bit in the mid palate. Really enjoyed this. — 8 years ago
Great vintage. Beautiful color, bright, acidic high toned fruit. — 8 years ago

Pretty red fruit, elegant yet round bright finish...yum — 11 years ago
Excellent bottle. The 01 is supposedly a better vintage but im not sure when it comes to this producer. Clear, day bright, garnet and orange brick like color, medium - concentration, orange/peach rim variation, slight sediment, low viscosity. Nose: sound, moderate intensity, stewed cherries/strawberries/raspberries, floral, spicy and lots of dill pickle and slight game. A mushroom note as well. Palate: dry, med- body, stewed plums over ripe cherries/strawberries, lilies, dill, vinegar, leather, button mushrooms, game, mulch with some cedar and coconut. Very complex. Med- tannins, medium alcohol, high acid, long finish. Between the 01 and the 98 its a tough choice of which one to put in the wine cooler to store. — 12 years ago
Absolutely magnificent! Of berries and chocolate, bright out of the bottle and velvety out of the decanter after a couple hours. Can't wait to enjoy this in 5-8 years! Cathy you're amazing! — 13 years ago
Domaine Drouhin Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2017: Medium-bodied. Bright red fruits on the nose and strawberry, raspberry, cherry & plum on the palate. Additionally, there is a light touch of forest floor, earthiness ending with a soft dry finish. Glad to be back supporting & enjoying some local outdoor dinner spots! Cheers🍷 — 5 years ago

The 2013 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is a total beauty from Randy and Mike Dunn. This refined and beautifully made Cabernet begins with alluring aromatics of dark cherries and blackberries, which are laced with spring florals, tobacco and graphite nuances. This showcases the Dunn’s signature winemaking style of a beautifully structured and balanced Cabernet. It continues to impress with gorgeous ripe fruit and outstanding precision and tension that pulls it all together. It's no secret that the Dunn’s are making some of Napa Valley’s finest wines up on Howell Mountain and this is a testament to the effort and experience they put into their wines. A sensational Cabernet with a long, bright future ahead. — 7 years ago
Can't believe I've held on to this treasure for so long! Cedar and sandalwood on the nose. Silky with a bright and savory--almost vegetal--finish. Perfect with filet and steak-house style garlicky creamed spinach. These grapes were picked when I was still in high school! — 9 years ago
Another 2014 from Kosta Browne, and another fine effort. Is it cool to say that a wine is beautiful to look at? Cause this gorgeous bright red wine essentially shimmers as you pour it. Oh yeah, drinking it is fun too. If there's a knock on this wine, it's that it lags behind KB's Russian River offering (which is not typical, in my opinion). But overall I am very happy with the Kosta Browne 2014s — 10 years ago
