Had the pleasure of recently tasting 8 Kosta Browne wines. Here is another, Wow! Dark fruit aromas, rich with herb, citrus and oak notes. On the palate cherry, coffee and herb flavors, well balanced. Dusty fine tannins on a lingering finish ending with cacao and earthy tones.

2014 doesn't disappoint. Bold Pinot. Blackberries and spice.

Great follow up after Occidental 2013 Cuvée Cathleen with family on Memorial Day Sunday! Kosta Brown Sonoma Coast 2014 is great follow up to their 13! Plum and blackberry fruit jump out of the glass on first sip. Rich with a Great Mouthfeel . Don't miss out on this gem. CB a solid 95+. CB

Linear offering, I swear I thought this was Russian River Valley wine. Big boned pinot, rather flamboyant.

Another 2014 from Kosta Browne, and another fine effort. Is it cool to say that a wine is beautiful to look at? Cause this gorgeous bright red wine essentially shimmers as you pour it. Oh yeah, drinking it is fun too. If there's a knock on this wine, it's that it lags behind KB's Russian River offering (which is not typical, in my opinion). But overall I am very happy with the Kosta Browne 2014s

55% new French oak really provides this wine with a lot of softness and flavor. Opens to a deep, rich and smoky mouthful. This is a chewy Pinot, packed with dark fruits, spice and well placed tannins. The lengthy finish will linger until the next sip. An extra few years of bottle age has treated this wine well.

While I’m not sure this drinks quite at its price point, it is quality Pinot. Unmistakably New World, but in all the best ways. Lots of fresh cherry on both the nose and palate, but also an herbaceous and earthy quality that keeps it from being jammy or cloying. Also just the right amount of barrel character. Definitely let it breathe for an hour or longer. You’ll thank me later.
