This was the wine of the tasting and weekend. It’s in a perfect place right now. Beautifully integrated, amazing fruits with a lean toward blue fruit with dark cherries, baking spices as they should be in all Napa red...soft, balanced blends and perfectly layered. Bright, beautiful dark florals, nicely balanced, great texture and long beautiful finish. Great experience hosted by my fellow Sommelier and friend, Brian Baker. Thank you for a great day tasting. Brian this is a beautiful wine. So balanced and lovely. I wish I had a case left instead of just another bottle. Deep dusky nose full of ripe rich fruit, dark roses, and Willamette Valley earthiness. Palate is deep fruit and balanced with a long finish. Full of dark cherry, earthy chocolate and figs/prunes (in a good way) — 8 years ago

This is the lake country zin. Good aroma and lots of fruit. No spice. The finish is rougher like a lot of zins. A style to my thinking. Fun to compare the Napa with lake country. — 9 years ago
