Cigar box, blackberry, tight core of black fruit and firm tannin. Cool climate elegance. Delicious. — 7 years ago
Cigar box o the nose. Very approachable tannins for a 100% cab. — 11 years ago
Better than the 16, not as sweet.

$20.00 out the door doesn’t hurt either

Loving this tonight. Savoury, in a really good way. Cigar box and dusty dark fruit aromas. I've never used the term garrigue, but it seems exactly right here. Wonderful tannin structure. It's a refreshing change from fruit driven wines and worked beautifully with mushroom risotto, providing a savoury backdrop to the more prominent, sweeter notes of the food. — 7 years ago
Forrest soil, mushrooms, black currant, a bit of meat juice, cigar box, tar. Wow what a nose! The palate is very balanced. Tannins are integrated but only partially. This wine could actually age some more! Soft touch o' the sides with a velvety layer, strong acid backbone that makes this wine precise and long, some dusty tannins pop up in the rear to give some complexity to the whole picture. Very long finish with currant that expands a bit. This is 29 years old and showing a bit of aging but it is not past its peak. This could be a bit more concentrated considering the vintage and this would make it magnificent but this is already a very nice tasting. #sundaynighttreat — 5 years ago
iv. What is thy mouth to me? A cup of sorrowful incense, A tree of keen leaves, An eager high ship, A quiver of superb arrows. What is thy breast to me? A flower of new prayer, A poem of firm light, A well of cool birds, A drawn bow trembling. What is thy body to me? A theatre of perfect silence, A chariot of red speed; And O, the dim feet Of white-maned desires! — 9 years ago
The opaque crimson '10 Carlisle Red Rhone Blend 'Three Birds' is a GSM with intoxicating aromas of raspberry preserve, licorice, spice box and loam with lovely floral undertones. Lush and creamy in the mouth with a seamless finish that lingers with impressive intensity and a spicy energy. A winner! — 11 years ago

What color! Many a Burg would like to wear that. Cherry transparent. Big smokey, woodsy, spicy, tactile nose, you’re in Italy for sure. Cherries & plums. Some spice box and cinnamon. Bit ‘o coffee.
Really nice lifted acidity, grippy, dry but mini plush right down the center of your tongue. Red fruits, leather, ( young), clove, cardamom, makes you crave food but it could be alone on a beautiful summer evening. As it airs out, fruit comes to the fore and the palate broadens, tannins recede.More from Ugo Lequio please. Stunner.
