This is the Barolo for CA Cab lovers, with a chewy, dense mouthfeel, yet packed with fruit and tasting brand new, rather than 17 years old. Also poured at Quince for white truffle menu. The 2008 Fratelli Serio and Battista Borgogno Nebbiolo d'Alba is a really tasty treat. 100% Nebbiolo, mainly from Diano D'Alba, it has a pretty ruby color and a nice smoky aroma. You'll get a mouthful of spice and raspberries upon tasting it. Definitely fruitier than most of the classic Piedmont varietals, this wine still obviously has years to mature and turn into something really special. — 11 years ago
