Visual tells you that this is a mature example. Nose presents olives peaches. Palate is all about macerated olives and briny notes. Nice delicate nutmeg and roasted nut notes combine with ripe white fruits and moderate sweetness. I love the Hudson vineyard so wanted to take a look at this. We got to this a little too late, but it’s still excellent. Its pedigree shines thru. — 2 months ago

Medium lemon color with aromas of fresh ripe stone fruits and floral notes. On the palate fresh fruit flavors of apple, peach, citrus and pineapple with honey and savory toasty oak tones. Long finish ends with tangy citrus, biscuit and mineral notes. Nice! — 3 months ago

I found a description of this wine archived that included aromas and flavors reminiscent of red raspberry jam, charred meats, and white pepper. Pretty accurate and nice clarity throughout the mineral driven palate. — 5 months ago

Birthday flight. The 2014 def drinking better than the '13. Less raisin but all the red, black and blue fruits. Not as fruit forward but the complexity and structure are classic Hall. Tannins are more subtle and the finish is long. — a month ago

Enjoying a glass of Dr Loosen Blue Slate at sunset in the Polish Mountains after a good day of hiking. This doesn’t get any better..
The nose is a bit shy but shows citrusy touches, a bit of chalk, fresh white grape juice, white peach, white flowers. The palate is super fresh and precise despite some residual sugar. There are citrusy beams shining through and through, some grip in the rear, some lemon peel and a great, fresh finish that lasts for a while. It’s simple yet perfectly executed. A perfect sip to top up a great and active day. Life is good. — 2 months ago

Big nose, big Cab. Loads of mountain terroir, blackberry, cassis, cola and a fair amount of spice. In a good way, this is heavily oaked. Not sure if Im up against its peak, but this still has elegant tannins and a nice long spicy finish. — 4 months ago

Dark purple/black color. Aromas of cooked black fruit, violets and Asian spices. Blackberry compote, huckleberry, blueberry jam and black plum fruit flavors along with notes of chocolate, black licorice, basil, tobacco, coffee and vanilla.
