In the glass, this wine is dark and viscous. The nose of cassis has layers of sage and eucalyptus over it, with a streak of black pepper right down the middle. Thick, rich and juicy in the mouth, the palate shows a sweetness that is not cloying. In fact, it borders on tart. The red fruit is dominant and there is an acidity which is lip-smacking, along with a tannic grip that demands your attention. This will be great with cheesecake - in fact, a little thicker, it would be great poured over cheesecake. — 2 months ago
Cali chard pop n pour. Rich style. Bruised yellow apple, smoked hay and parsnip. — 2 months ago
Pretty deep , almost opaque , thin rim . Quite wild , dried herbs , touch of rounded red fruits . More fruit on the palate , quite ripe red fruits , quite soft but fine , nice balanced acidity . Slightly warm. Quite good length though quite dry finish . Nice now , wouldn’t want to leave this too much longer however . — a month ago

The wine’s nose offers aromas of bright red cherries doused in spearmint. Baking spices give a good whiff as well, with cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper coming through. The palate shows beautiful red fruit in a rustic setting with pepper and a dose of oak spice. The acidity is very refreshing and the tannic grip is firm. — 2 months ago
