Lots of dark flavor. Close to Elyse — a year ago
12/22 A LOT of vanilla and banana. Sweet. Smooth with no burn. Have to like all the tropical notes but I did. From Philippines. High marks 89 — 3 years ago
How does anyone not hoard (regular) Sazerac at ~$25?!
Incredibly smooth, great sweet note to the finish. Again, why haven't I not been buying this for years...?
(BTW Kirkland Bourbon at $30 is worth the price of admission, earthy oak note on the palate is quite similar to Buffalo Trace.)
Counter-Clockwise from top left:
Buffalo Trace (single-barrel selection), Jefferson's Reserve Very Old/Very Small Batch, Knob Creek (9yo), Kirkland Bourbon (7yo), St George single-malt (SM 015), Hillrock (Ancram NY, solera aged, Barrel No. 174), Berkshire Mountain Distillers Shay's Rebellion and Wild Turkey Master's Keep (Batch 0001, 17yo). — 4 years ago
Exquisite vintage! Soft tannins but still rich! Nice red berry notes but subtle. — 15 days ago
Auction wine. Broken cork. Again. Wine was at base of the neck. I think cakebread got a batch of bad corks. No wine into the cork and they all broke right at the end. Not sure how it affected the wine but it’s been a consistent issue
Wine exhibited some decent fruit but no real depth or grip. Very smooth and medium body but missing some power and complexity expected from this site.

Took a chance and bought a few of these at Trader Joe’s. Was worried about the California wildfires of 2020, influencing the flavor of the product, but no Smokey tones are in this batch. Very full bodied and rich, with jam and cherry, and a hint of tobacco. Good purchase! — 3 years ago
Color: Pale white / tinge of yellow
Aroma: Petrol, freshness, crisp, grass, meadows, what you would imagine gushing river water to smell like
Tasting notes: Asian pear, slight cheddar, sweet leaves
Texture: Laced with silk, rich, creamy, comforting, mouth hug

Somehow it looks like I haven’t reviewed this yet despite halfway thru the batch and possibly my favorite ever Pinot?? Powerful fruit on the nose but far more nuanced on the palate - superb expression of the grape. More recent vintages no worse for the (lack of) wear. Batch no. 5. I should have read my note on the last bottle of this batch saying to let it mellow for a few more years because even though it’s delicious, it’s hot on the finish. — a day ago
