Don't tell Gary Shiraz 2020

Vintage 2020 | Licorice in smell, cherries, blackberries, I thought it to be pinot noir because it has a certain frivoliy. Wine with a story. Good effort. — 2 years ago

Drumborg Vineyard Riesling 2005

Absolutely amazing. So fresh at 14 years of age. Amazing vibrant steely acidity with crunchy mineral notes. The palate lasts forever! Wow! — 6 years ago

Taltarni

Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Whoa, this one has some solid grip! Still has the pronounced acid and tannin of youth, with lots of primary dark fruit. Medium-full body. And did I mention that grip? Persistent...very persistent...tannins. But it’s pretty delicious, just needs even more time. Nice. — 7 years ago

Mount Langi Ghiran

Shiraz Blend 2009

One of my favourite Australian Shiraz blends for a long time. Back when I bought this it was $95 but now unfortunately about double that. Deep Ruby in colour. Aromas of Spice, pepper and red fruits. Medium weight palate of cherry, plum and a touch of aniseed. The palate might be medium weight but the intensity is medium ++ which makes it one of Australia’s best cool climate Shiraz. From the ancient soils of the Grampians. From a drinking window this will still be drinking well leading up to 2030. — 4 years ago

Garden Gully Syrah 2012

16.5/20 (90/100) Аромат вишневого варенья, бальзамика и ванили. Остаточный сахар отлично балансируется высоким уровнем кислотности. Приятное во вкусе. Занятное вино. — 6 years ago

Crawford River

Riesling 2014

Lemon in colour. Floral aromas. Very youthful on the palate. Acid floods over the sides and back of the tongue. From a region I don’t have much experience with as in Henty on the southwestern coast of Victoria. A faint paraffin smell which will turn into Kerosene aromas in years to come. In the Excellent category at the recent Langtons Classification Tasting. — 7 years ago
