Green apple, fresh, crisp, classic Chardonnay, well balanced oak, acidic, floral characteristics, minerals, — 5 years ago
Buttery. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Recently, we have hit a rich vein of quality in the Chardonnay lane. The Bacigalupi vineyard produces some of the most beautiful representations of chard and pinot, this is no exception. Nose is honeysuckle, butterscotch and lemons. Mid-palate is delicate, but nuanced. Nice caramel notes with ginger and relaxed acidity. Caught this at its apex. Doesn’t quite have the depth we like to see, but sublime for different reasons. — 7 years ago
Butter and oak nicely balanced with citrus and lemongrass. Moderate acid in the finish. — 7 years ago
Apple, honey, lemon, dried apricot, oak and wet river rock. Good acidity and balance. — 7 years ago
Nose - pineapple, lemon zest, vanilla. Taste - citrus fruit and great vanilla flavor, little bit of caramel. Full bodied, with a good balance. Really good! — 5 years ago
What I call a non-typical RRV Chardonnay because of the vanilla, buttery mouth feel. But. . . The wine provides those flavors with great balance. Citrus hints- both lemon and lime - mid palate. Great wine that went well with home made paprika, garlic chicken — 6 years ago

Raspberries, pepper, wet leather. Such a well balanced finish that hangs around for a good minute or so. Thanks for the wine @Jack Thompson — 7 years ago
Wow, loved the zin + pettie blend. Dark, ruby, rich....I will be coming back for more! — 8 years ago
Wow! Incredible rich deep aged plum. — 9 years ago
Even in Its youth, the 2018 Modus Operandi Cellars Pinot from the oft-heralded Bacigalupi Vineyard is more than just approachable- it’s unreal. The nose is already in bloom with oodles of Burgundy-like bramble berry, while the mouthfeel is as silk should be defined.
Frankly, I’ve never had a Pinot Noir like it, anywhere near it’s price. Not even close. — 5 years ago
Rose hips on the nose giving way to cherries and a mouthful of chocolate — 6 years ago

Drinking nicely. Lighter profile. Turkey friendly. — 7 years ago
Nice chardonnay here. Definitely a young wine though. This wine has a nose of lemon/lime and herb. The palate is bright and crisp acidity. Lemon and kiwi. Mango in the middle. Still quite acidic. Finishes with citrus bite and an herbal quality. Really want to put this one in a 3 year time machine to see what happens. — 7 years ago
Another 4th Friday for the books! Insane pulls this month to follow up the most epic month (April) that we’ve ever had!
Not familiar with this producer, but for a Bacigalupi Pinot, it was missing all the hallmark notes...no cola, little bing cherry, light cedar, non-existent licorice. My review here is more about what it isn’t as opposed to what it is... — 7 years ago
