Really looking forward to seeing how this CDP opens up. On the nose plenty of funk, yes, but as it blows off there are hints of black soil, mushrooms, dust, red fruit, and a slight floral aroma with potpourri and cedar that is beginning to rear its head. On the palate it's quite tight, but as time passes away so will the astringency. Rating will definitely increase as time goes on. EDIT- Day 2 and this wine is on point! Absolutely amazing. Lots of good brett. Balanced and delicious. Great dark fruit aromas and flavors. So smooth. Medium high tannins and acidity. Perfect silky texture. A little funk on the nose and palate (positive). Aroma and flavors are out of this world. Leather bag full of cherries and raspberries. Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carmenere. Complex.
