Pi 3.1415 Aragon Garnacha Blanca 2016

PI 3,1415... is the result of the selection of 3.14 Ha. of the local grape Garnacha Blanca from 60 years old vines.

Lovely nose with beeswax, peach, melon, green apple and notes of honey and slightly buttery, medium bodied with the same fruit flavors, fine acidity with a nice nutty note, 89DSP

Honoro Vera Calatayud Garnacha 2015

The first Garnaca I've ever had, and I was very pleased! This is from the Calatayud region of Zaragosa province. Garnacha likely originated in Aragon, and spread to regions controlled by the Crown of Aragon, such as Sardinia, the Balearics, and Roussillon (now in southern France). The vine was long ago known as Tinto Aragones ("red of Aragon").

"The wine exudes intense aromas of sweet cherries and dark plums with an exotic spicy finish reminiscent of white pepper."

Siendra

Yes, this is a modern bold and very ripe Aragon red blend! Lush Beautiful Garnacha crafted with a little of Syrah and Cabernet that provide backbone and structure. A great winter red and cheese plate partner — 9 years ago

Cayus Seleccion Garnacha 2013

MICHAEL COOPER DipWSET
9.0

Cayus- aromas of fireside and blackberry jam. Pink pepper and red currant on the palate. 2013 was a cool vintage in Aragón and this wine has a little tartness like cranberries to remind you. Delicious and an definitely age well. #campodeborja #aragon #spain — 10 years ago

Blecua Somontano Red Blend 2008

Never tried a wine from Somontano Aragon 🇪🇸 but this is apparently the one @ £63-£73! It’s a lovely drop for sure & would benefit from a few more years ageing but deliciously different w/ the red fruit at the forefront 😁

Bodegas Breca

Old Vines Garnacha 2012

Jorge Ordonez founded Bodegas Breca in 2005, in the town of Mundobriga, which was the ancient Celt-Iberian city that gave birth to the modern village of Munebrega in Aragon. The vines planted between 1926 and 1945. Very deep red with a complex bouquet of fruit and sweet spice. Sits on oak for almost 2 years! Tastes of black raspberry, cherry and dried fruit, with sweet herbs and earthy mineral. Balanced, developed tannins and lingering nicely. Real value, a must try. — 9 years ago

Corona de Aragon

Special Selection Garnacha/Cariñena 2017

This beautiful Spanish white wine features a golden tint with a nose of apricots, oranges, limes and a wet driveway. Most of that probably comes from the Garnacha Blanca, but on the palate there's a hint of tropical fruit from the 13% Chardonnay. Minerals are in play from start to finish and the acidity rips at about a medium. You may want some oysters or octopus with this. — 7 years ago

Tinto Seleccion Garnacha Blend 2015

Very great wine for $9.99. Just fruity enough at first, then spices with a dry finish. Chosen because we drove through the Aragon, Spain region in 2015 and wanted to commemorate. Purchased at Boise Co-Op. — 8 years ago
