Brut Réserve Crémant de Bourgogne Champagne Blend

Just concluded our annual Fall seclusion at our cabin in the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again. Notes are somewhat brief, as my focus is relaxing and watching the Common Loons swimming and diving in the cove in front of our camp.

Nose has lemon curd (light) and cold citrus peel.
Palate has saline lemon and lemon zest.
Refreshing, quickly emptied this bottle.

Once it came up to temp it revealed the sultry slutty coconut and overripe cantaloupe layered in flint and chalk. — 11 years ago

Slow smooth attack. A cat burglar approach. Wide and weighty. Underage. Undertones of caramelized crust. Twisty finish leaves the richness behind for a surf. — 10 years ago

Textbook flavors. Generous with slightly less acid than I'd like, but its saying so many things on the nose. A bit of phenolic bitterness but just in balance. — 11 years ago

A tremendous burgundy value at 14 bucks a bottle. Restraint and moderate acidity with the anticipated minerality content at the end. A steal. — 10 years ago

Nice golden color. High RS is well balanced with nice acidity. Beautifully floral, honey suckle, white flowers, sweet Mayer lemon, peach marmalade with touch of fennel and cardamon on end.
It was going so great with lamb special served over Mayer lemon pure sauce!
