Superb, classic in all the ways it should be...perfectly gold color, a nose telling at first botrytis but then it gives way to more dimension with layers or orange marmalade, honey, and creme brulee. The palate reflects this and adds a touch of almond extract and a laser beam of core acidity. #sauternes — 8 years ago
Vahva aromaattinen tuoksu, tummia marjoja, hedelmäisyyttä ja nokea. Savuinen maku on paksu ja kantaa pitkään jälkimakuun. Tammi on mukavasti taustalla antaen ryhtiä viinille. Huikea viini alle 7 eurolla! — 8 years ago
Showing very nicely. Farmed biodynamic the wine shows another dimension after a hour in the glass. — 9 years ago
Flinty, green twinges, fresh, saline, mouth-watering. Maybe a tad one-dimensional, but it's a good dimension. — 9 years ago
Dark ruby red with slight brickish rim. Big nose, but it took about an hour and a half decanting to unfold. Still young, aromas of wild berries, green forest, white and dark chocolate and freshly cracked black pepper. Very, very big dimension on the palate; seriously expands in the palate, providing multiple dimension flavors of forest wild berries, dark plum, eucalyptus, strawberries and loads of black pepper. Subtle notes of fine tobacco. Very broad and bright acidity. Great tannic structure that balances out quite well. Huge, endless finish, very spicy, lots of dark, tart plum flavors. 93 pts, but cellar this wine another 8 to 10 years at least. — 10 years ago
This wine needs air / decanting. The nose is very lovely with black currant notes and subtle oak notes. On the palate there is a nice acidic frame which makes a long wine, black currant everywhere, nice velvety tannins. This wine is much more on vertical dimension than On the ample side. It would be interesting to taste it again in 5 years — 8 years ago
Showed a good deal of depth and dimension across the board. Weighty, layered, and structured — 8 years ago
The dimensions of this wine are huge, and I don't mean alcohol, acidity, or tannin, though it has fair bit of all three. There's a depth or a third dimension that only wines from special places have. The fruit is bright and the color pale, but the wine is dark in character. It's the character that Etna has - that rocky, ashy, old balsamic, dusky mountain herb, intense etnosity. — 9 years ago
This Fanti is welcome, denser, more opaque in the glass, fuller bodied that any of the others. I had one class and then it sat for 18 hours and didn't fade a notch and the time added an extra dimension.
It has the characteristic herb nose of 2010, it's like standing in a garden, a fresh wind is carrying herbs and strawberry, growing nearby are cherries.
The fuller palate also has cherries and red fruit, perfect tannin led integration, great balance, superb mouth feel.
Damn these 2010's are good!

The Emirates flight crew altered me that @Claire Owen and I consumed a total of 4 bottles on the flight...worth it, I think? Needed something to pair with the caviar and canapés. #EmiratesSuites #a380 #honeymoon — 8 years ago
Smells a little like cotton candy and exhibits notes of cedar, clove, prune, cherry, red rose, eucalyptus with perceivable mint-traits. In another dimension this may be a cousin of Heitz's Martha's Vineyard. Awesome to have with bbq'd steak, garlic bread and knowing this is the only winery for this AVA ( just 20 miles south of where I got to imbibe this 400 case production of local goodness. ) — 8 years ago
Well blended, strong cherry, tannin is subtle and creeps up on you halfway through. A very complex and smooth wine. THE 2015 WINE SPECTATOR
"WINE OF THE YEAR"
2012 Peter Michael "Au Paradis" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
96 points Wine Spectator
Deliciously pure and supple, with explosive dark berry and red berry flavors and a silky, polished texture. The tannins become more evident midway through, with a gravelly crushed rock profile that adds a dimension of dust and mineral.

The 2014 Mattaison Napa Valley Rosé is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Counoise from the Windmill Vineyard. I love this wine because what it communicates is restraint and tensile minerality as one would find in a good Provence rosé. Delicate floral aromas, slightly underripe white peaches, and white hand soap lend dimension to a lithe frame that has a subtle and demure touch of creaminess in the background. White plum skins and pie cherries crescendo before slowly unwinding. 11.2% ABV | Sample — 9 years ago
2003 was a year of extremes in Burgundy, with spring frosts and crippling heatwaves later in the summer, so how did the Lucien le Moine Chambertin-Clos de Bèze fare? Extremely well. Penetrating aromas of cherry and black raspberry, dried leaves, forest floor, woodspice, and anise lead into firm structure and a brooding, sensual intensity. Mineral notes, exotic spice, and black tea add dimension. My only criticism is that the finish is slightly short, and it is a touch more advanced than expected. — 9 years ago

Young nose of tart cherry and a metallic dimension. The palate is yummy. Berry again, silky tannins, moderately long finish. A joyful wine. Much easier than cote du py in the same vintage. — 7 years ago
