Smooth mouthfeel, cherries, earthy, slightly tart on the finish. Very nice! — 8 years ago
Similar to the Elio Altare Barolo tasted recently this is aged in Barriques so this is a modern rendition of Barbaresco. The oak is brilliantly handled, does not intrude and gives the wine a good balance. Earthy leathery aromas with a lush fluid palate of medium intensity finishing with fine tannins. Bought in Alba in 2015. At Willos Italian night. — 9 years ago

Great at first, extremely complex. Flavors of barbecue sauce, cedar, leather, wood, tobacco and mint. After about an hour the mint flavor became extremely bitter making the wine less enjoyable. — 10 years ago
Garnet to pink rim, clear and bright. Soft fragrant rose petals, baked cherry vanilla biscuit, closing out with a hint of licorice. Some nuttiness on the palate, with persistent alcohol-warmed cherries midway. Tart and grippy tannic finish. More bottle life awaits. Very very enjoyable, bringing back memories of La Morra last summer. Looking forward to our return to Piedmont!
